What is House Flipping?

Most people who want to get into the real estate business see it as an opportunity to make a lot of money in a market where business and opportunity seems endless. As this is the case, becoming a real estate agent is an option that most people consider because they see it as the answer to making money in the real estate market.

The great thing about becoming a Realtor is that it is fairly easy to get a license and get into the industry. You are able to control your own business and work as much as you want. But if you want to be successful you have to work extremely hard putting life and family aside for that all important phone call. In this business you are always looking for a job. When you are always looking for a job, that becomes your job. In other words when you become a real estate agent you are always working.

There is another way! House Flipping! You can accomplish the same thing by flipping homes without all the hassle of dealing with buyers and sellers. No need to pay monthly fees, keep up with legislation and education. When house flipping you are in control of the entire deal. You can invest as much or as little of your time as you want. You can flip homes as a full time job or just do it as a side project. You can make considerable profits and if things dont go so well on a deal or two, you will probably make as much as an agent would have if they had represented someone on the deal.

Take it from me a former agent, getting into this industry as a mediator can be very difficult especially when markets are hot. Extreme competition, finding business and dealing with people during probably the most stressful times of their lives can be very difficult. Finding properties that suit your needs, fit your budget and can turn more profit than an agent, while spending more time with your family and friends seems pretty good to me.
